Speaker Training, Consulting, and
Professional Development with the foundation of communications.
We offer seminars, half day workshops, keynotes, private & group coaching and variety
of information-rich resources.
Marquesa's business experience gives her powerful tools to help her clients achieve their goals. Upon graduation from Texas Southern University in Houston, Ms. Pettway quickly relocated to Manhattan, New York to begin a stellar career in television and radio broadcasting. Additional experience in corporate sales, marketing and communications.
COMMUNICATION
As Assistant Producer at CNN for the business program, Managing with Lou Dobbs,
assistant producer for successful radio shows and as a print reporter, Marquesa developed effective
organization, presentation and communications skills that she now imparts to those who attend her

MOTIVATION
Marquesa began her award-winning sales career at AT&T - Business Growth Markets.
She achieved great success in sales and, as Marketing and Communications Director,
she further honed her abilities to build cooperation with fellow employees
and motivate them to record-breaking goals. She currently averages 12-20 speaking
engagements per month. Her audiences range from 15- 3000. She is known as the
ENERGETIC, ENGAGING AND GIFTED SPEAKER, TRAINER.
LEADERSHIP
Corporate:
Marquesa managed more than 20 associates as a sales manager for the retail chain
FDS Department Stores Sterns. As Business Solutions Executive for AT&T Business
Markets managed more $20 million in revenue and successfully grew her existing
customer base. One of her proudest accomplishments was a $2M contract in new
revenue with The Trump casinos for Voice & Data.
Successful management & growth of her client base led to the honor of Leaders
Council- Top 2% of sales executives earn this award across the country. Another

Non-Profit:
In addition Marquesa has extensive non-profit leadership experience which led to
more than 200% membership growth for the New York Chapter of the Alliance of
Telecommunication Employees, Inc- AT&T non-profit employee organization. This
accomplishment along with successful events throughout her term as President
earned her, The Outstanding Leadership Award. Enjoying leadership and wanting
to continue to challenge herself she became Eastern Regional Director responsible
for 12 chapters in the Eastern region and was an active board member until she
left to focus on the growth and development of MLPSpeak. Once MLPSpeak was
established she was invited back to serve as a keynote for several events and
chapter leadership training.
She also served in successful leadership roles within organizations such as, National Association of Female Executives (NAFE), Toastmasters (district and local), Iota Phi Lambda Professional Business Sorority. She's currently active in a leadership role with National Speakers Association and of course serves as President & CEO of MLPSpeak Communications, LLC.
Ms. Pettway's leadership record and public speaking record led to the most distinguished award from Toastmasters International, Distinguished Toastmaster Award. This requires a successful delivery of more than 100 presentations, serving in two different leadership positions inclusive of President of a club and Area 56 Governor, a one year long High Performance Leadership Project and the successful sponsorship of a new or failing club. This designation takes an average of 5-8 years, since the founding of Toastmasters International in 1924, only 1/10 percent of all speakers worldwide have earned the DTM award. This award is equivalent to a PHD in public speaking.
CONFIDENCE WITH COMMUNICATION
Marquesa is known as a Communications Expert, after extensive research on why we communicate
the way we do. She explains in her keynotes and seminars how to be ASSERTIVE and if you tend
to be naturally AGGRESSIVE OR PASSIVE what are the steps to change the way you communicate.
She uses a personality assessment,
to educate all of her participants on understanding themselves and others.
